Twenty five percent (25%) of people move because they are dreaming of a more stylish space or a neighborhood with more amenities.
- Some people may be moving to lower their cost of living. The cost of living is climbing and buyers are looking for affordable. That may mean staying in the community they are in, and find a less expensive option, or it may mean moving to another part of the country that provides a lower cost of living. Twenty one percent (21%) of people moving this year are looking for budget friendly.
- The next big reason people are planning a move is to live in an area that has low crime rates and is safe. Is it nice to feel like you can walk your dog and not feel unsafe. This may mean a move out of the community that you live in, or just another neighborhood.
- Fourteen percent (14%) of buyers will be moving to be closer to family. There is nothing like the pull of family. This may be grandparents moving to be closer to the grandkids or kids moving to provide support for elderly parents. It is all about being closer to family.
- A big reason to move with climate changes occurring is to get away from the climate related disasters. Whether that be floods, hurricanes, or wildfires. These climate disasters cause insurance to go up and affect those that live with the threat of a disaster.
- One of the last big reasons why people will be choosing to move in 2025 is because life happens. There are family changes. That can mean everything from a marriage, divorce, new baby or the loss of a loved one. These are things that you cannot exactly plan for, but they do dramatically affect your life and often are the reason for a move. Over ten percent (10%) of people will be moving because of changes to their family.
