We have a wonderful tradition here in Northern Colorado that has occurred every year, for the last ten years, it is the best of contest. Locals vote on their favorites of things that are in eight different categories. The eight categories are food/drink, pet, health/beauty, home/garden, recreation/entertainment, transportation, weddings, and retail/services. The businesses/places that get the most votes win. There is a first place, second place and a third place awarded. This is a very coveted win for local businesses. When a business wins one fo the top three places they feel like the community appreciates them.
The most popular category each year is the food/drink category. This category consistently receives the most votes. This year that meant over 154,000 votes for the favorite place to eat or drink. Some of the favorite top vote receivers in serval different food/drink categories were:
